AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17.24 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF AVON RELATING
TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL OFFICE
USE
WHEREAS, Vail Mountain Medical P.C. has requested an
amendment to Section 17.24.020(C)5(A) of the Avon Municipal Code
in order to reduce required parking spaces for medical offices
from 8 parking spaces per 1000 square feet of gross floor area
to 5 parking spaces per 1000 square feet of gross 'floor area;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held by the Planning
and Zoning Commission of the Town of Avon, pursuant to notices
required by law; and
WHEREAS, following such public hearing, the Planning and
Zoning Commission forwarded reports and recommendations on the
proposed amendment to the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, as provided by law, a public hearing was held
before the Town Council on the 27th day of August, 1991, at which
time the applicant and the public were given an opportunity to
express their opinions regarding the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Avon Town Council has determined that the
proposed Municipal Code amendment is justified and consistent with
the Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Town Council of
the Town of Avon, Colorado:
Section 1 Amendment.
Section 17.24.020(C)5(A) of the Avon Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
Minimum Requirements - 5/1000 sq. ft. GFA
Section 2 Severabilitv.
If any part, section, sentence, clause or phrase of
this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this Ordinance; and the Town Council for the Town of Avon
hereby declares it would have passed this Ordinance and each part,
section, sub-section, sentence, clause of phrase thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more parts, sections,
sub-sections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid.
INTRODUCED, PASSED ON FIRST READING, APPROVED AND ORDERED POSTED,
this 27th day of August, 1991, and a public hearing shall be held
at the regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Avon,
Colorado on the 10th day of September, 1991, at 7:30 P.M. in the
Municipal Building of the Town of Avon, Colorado.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE TOWN
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO, AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE
10TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1991, AT THE TOWN HALL FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CONSIDERING THE ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 91-16, SERIES OF
1991:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17.24 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE TOWN OF AVON RELATING TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL
OFFICE USE.
A copy of said Ordinance is attached hereto, and is also on
file at the office of the Town Clerk, and may be inspected
during regular business hours.
Following this hearing the Council may consider final passage
of this Ordinance.
This notice is given and published by order of the Town
Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado.
