Mr. Larry Brooks informed Change Request No. 15A was.done.for
soils work in the parking lot that now exists-over what used to
be the sedimentation pond by the former tennis, courts. This is
the parking lot on the east side of the project, next to the
Seasons. A & P and'Intermountain Engineering found it necessary
to excavate 3 1/2' to 4' deeper than what was originally planned
in the construction drawings. The cost of $11,198 reflects-the
design changes that were incurred. Changes involved over digging
the site, bringing in new structural fill, and putting the
original design fabric down - but adding an additional 9" of road
base before the pavement was put down. That was what was deemed
necessary to stabilize that parking lot. This will be
incorporated into what will be Change Order #2. Staff recommends
approval of this Resolution. This amount was budgeted and
addressed separately from the contract with A & P.
