Avon Mall Final Design Amendment 2
This Task Order pertains to the On-Call Agreement by and between the Town of Avon
(“TOWN”), and Stolfus and Associates (“CONTRACTOR”), dated On-Call Contract Execution
of May 28, 2025 (“the Agreement”).
CONTRACTOR shall perform services as provided herein and in the Agreement. This Task
Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon
execution, this Task Order shall supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project
described below.
Project Description: Provide additional design scope of work:
• Drainage Design: Inlets and storm system for Lake St raised cross walk
• Structure Design: additional seat wall at Nottingham Park
• Roadway: conceptual layout of rec center parking lot
• Landscaping: Town Hall Plaza modifications and Nottingham Park / Ped Mall
interface

RE: Proposal for Avon Mall Final Design – Additional Design Services
Dear Eva,
The Town of Avon has identified a need to extend the Avon Main Street Mall from Lettuce Shed Ln to Nottingham
Park. This task order adds the following services for final design:
• Drainage design: Inlets and storm system for Lake St raised cross walk
• Structure Design: additional seat wall at Nottingham Park
• Roadway: conceptual layout of recreation center parking lot (Exhibit A, shared by Keith Fraser at 10/31
bi-weekly meeting)
• Landscaping: Town Hall Plaza modifications and Nottingham Park / Ped Mall interface
SCOPE OF WORK
Work Element 1 – Project Administration / Coordination (Stolfus & Associates, Inc.)
Stolfus & Associates, Inc. (Stolfus), will review/process invoices, as well as provide other project administration/
management services (coordination and product review) throughout the duration of the project. Stolfus will be
responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of the work elements included in this scope of work.
Stolfus will work with the Town’s project manager to modify schedule of activities for each task element, as
appropriate.
Additional Coordination/Meetings:
• Up to 16 hours of additional coordination with Town are included (see contingency line in fee summary).
• Additional coordination and other meetings will be billed on an hourly basis with written approval from the
Town.
Work Element 2 – Path Alignment/Grading & Roadway/Traffic/Parking Lot Design (Stolfus)
Stolfus will prepare a conceptual horizontal layout of the Recreation Center Parking lot, Exhibit A shared at the
10/31 bi-weekly meeting, for Town consideration. The parking options will include designated drop zone parking
spaces and provide one-way circulation. 3-D modeling is not included with the conceptual design. If the Town
selects this option, the previous design amendment dated 10/15/2025 includes 3-D modeling and final design of
the preferred parking lot layout option.
Work Element 2 Deliverables:
• Conceptual layout of Rec Center Parking Lot
Work Element 3 – Urban/Landscape Design (DHM Design)
Task 1 (already completed)
This includes time to prepare additional civic plaza concepts (7 total) and modifications to Lake Street plazas (3).

Task 2: Additional Design/Adjustments
This includes modifications to the paving pattern, sculpture area, planter and possible shade sails for civic plaza
as well as adjustments to the Lake Street Plaza; sculpture areas, parallel parking configuration, park access and
flagpole area with wall. Includes time for team review meeting.
This proposal does not include 3D renderings.
Work Element 4 – Drainage and Water Quality (RESPEC)
100% Additional Design Calculations and Plans for Lake Street
RESPEC will prepare calculations and plans for the drainage improvements at the raised crossing at Lake Street.
Quantities and an opinion of probable cost will be prepared. The following design elements are added:
• New inlets at raised crossing on Lake St.
Work Element 4 Deliverables:
• Drainage Memo (abbreviated, to include additional drainage design)
• 100% plans, specifications, and OPC (additional drainage at Lake Street raised crossing)
Work Element 5 – Lighting and Electrical (Clanton)
No additional design services.
Work Element 6 – Structural Support (San Engineering)
San Engineering will provide a 100% structural calculation and plans package for the following added elements:
• Structure foundation: added seat wall at Nottingham Park interface (1 additional)
Minor comments will be addressed at 100% for inclusion in the Contract Documents.
Work Element 6 Deliverables:
• 100% details and quantity calculations for miscellaneous structure: seat wall at Nottingham Park interface

SCHEDULE
The project is anticipated to be ready for advertisement in October 2026 with design expected to be completed in
June 2026. The existing project schedule will be modified upon notice to proceed.
FEE
As detailed below, Stolfus and its subconsultants will perform these engineering services for a total fee of
$25,000.
