On-Call Agreement for Professional Services
TASK ORDER 2.3
US6 Mobility Improvement Project: Additional Design Services
This Task Order pertains to the On-Call Agreement by and between the Town of Avon
(“TOWN”), and Stolfus and Associates (“CONTRACTOR”), dated On-Call Contract Execution
of September 3, 2021 (“the Agreement”).
CONTRACTOR shall perform services as provided herein and in the Agreement. This Task
Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon
execution, this Task Order shall supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project
described below.
Project Description: Provide preliminary engineering and concept analysis for the US6
Multimodal Safety and Mobility Improvements project. The project received the CDOT
Revitalizing Main Street Grant to slow prevailing speed on US6 and potentially install 3
pedestrian crossings as shown on the project site below.
Due to CDOT comments and requests for additional support material. Additional design
services are needed.

Dear Eva:
Stolfus & Associates, Inc. (Stolfus) is pleased to amend our proposal to include additional potholing and structural
design for the roundabout at US 6 and Stone Bridge Road. Based on the FIR drainage design and current
understanding of the existing utilities at the US 6 and Stone Bridge intersection, the project team has identified the
need for an additional 15 potholes for a total of 25 potholes. To cover the additional potholes, surveying,
associated traffic control, and SUE report, it is estimated that the cost of this work will be approximately $53,000.
In addition, due to limited space within the existing ROW to construct the proposed landscape wall, a block wall is
not feasible. A concrete wall with block facing is now proposed. The design of the concrete wall requires
additional structural engineering, details, and construction drawings not included in the original scope of work. It
is estimated that this work will be approximately $7000. Finally, due to the introduction of new reviewers from the
approving agency, additional investigation, coordination, and evaluation of options is required to satisfy comments
from the FOR design and meeting. Stolfus will support the Town with these additional conceptual engineering,
exhibits, alternative evaluation, comment response memos, cost estimating, and meetings with CDOT, FHWA,
and others to advance the construction approvals for the project. This work is estimated at approximately
$35,000. This brings the total cost for design services to $495,000. We appreciate the opportunity to work with
the Town of Avon and would be happy to answer any questions you have on this amendment to our Scope of
Services.
