Nottingham Park Trail Improvement: Field Survey
This Task Order pertains to the On-Call Agreement by and between the Town of Avon
(“TOWN”), and Stolfus and Associates (“CONTRACTOR”), dated On-Call Contract Execution
of September 3, 2021 (“the Agreement”).
CONTRACTOR shall perform services as provided herein and in the Agreement. This Task
Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon
execution, this Task Order shall supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project
described below.
Project Description: Harry A. Nottingham Park South Trail is in need of repair and
replacement as highlighted below. This task order initiates the design effort with a field
survey.

RE: Proposal for Field Survey work related to Nottingham Trail
Dear Eva:
The Town of Avon has identified a need to improve a portion of existing Nottingham Trail as well as to investigate
ownership / ROW issues for a proposed extension of the existing trail. This task order identifies the scope of work
necessary to collect survey, utility, and ROW information to confirm the ownership of the affected area and to
collect the survey necessary to perform the design. Design and geotechnical investigations for the trail
improvements will occur via a separate task order.
SCOPE OF WORK
Work Element 1 – Project Administration / Review (Stolfus & Associates, Inc.)
SurvWest, LLC will be responsible for the bulk of the work effort for this task order. The role of Stolfus &
Associates, Inc. will be to review and process invoices and provide project administration services. Stolfus will
also conduct a review of the survey deliverables prior to transmittal of those deliverables to the Town of Avon.
Work Element 1 Deliverables:
•Monthly invoices and progress reports.
Work Element 2 – Surveying Scope of Services (SurvWest, LLC)
The attached Survey Proposal provides a summary of the surveying scope of services.
Work Element 2 Deliverables:
•Processed survey data compiled into a CAD format.
•ASCII files for all data collected along with project photos and survey notes and sketches when
applicable.
EXCLUSIONS
•As noted in the attached survey proposal
•Design services
•Geotechnical investigations
•Legal descriptions & exhibits for the purposes of ROW acquisition / easements, etc.
•ROW Plans

SCHEDULE
Weather permitting, survey field activities can typically begin within 2 weeks of notice-to-proceed.
FEE
As detailed below, Stolfus and its subconsultants will perform these engineering services for a total fee of
$10,400.

SURVEY PROPOSAL: BOUNDARY SURVEY & TOPOGRAPHIC DESIGN SURVEY
Surveying Scope of Services
Boundary Research & Survey: SurvWest will search for and locate enough property corners to
establish the southerly boundary of the rec-center and resolve any questions of gaps at the
railroad right-of-way using plats and other necessary recorded documents.
Topography Design Survey: SurvWest will locate and survey features within the project areas to
create both a planimetric basemap and an associated digital terrain model for the use in
engineering design and construction of the project.
Underground Utility Locates: SurvWest will locate existing utilities based on marks provided in
the field by 811 utility locate service.
Data Reduction and Deliverables: SurvWest will process the survey data and compile this into a
CAD format. We will also supply ASCII files for all data collected along with project photos and
survey notes and sketches when applicable.
Assumptions and Considerations:
NO ALTA Surveys or Setting of Monuments: This scope does not include ALTA Surveys or setting
of monuments.
NO Construction Staking: This scope does not include any construction staking or construction
services.
NO Potholing or SUE: Potholing and sub-surface utility engineering are not part of this scope.
