SUMMARY: The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the Committee to meet and
engage directly with the Town’s third-party producers, which we have not done since the fall of 2019.
Additionally, we have new producers and new Committee members and I believe we will all find this time
valuable. To that end, this report provides a brief overview of third party produced events including the
event producer/organization, event brand/name, and year over year dates, Town cash and/or in-kind
contributions, attendance numbers and as notes, if needed provided as ATTACHMENT A.
The event, producer, representative and schedule is provided below. Each producer may or may not bring
members of their team or non-profit partners, if applicable.
Each producer has a total of 15 minutes which includes time for Q&A. Additionally, producers have been
asked to provide a brief executive summary and/or salient points they desire to convey. This may be
conversational, video and/or images.
CURRENT / PLANNING ACTIVITY: The 2023 Proposed Budget is before Avon Town Council on
November 25th for review and direction, and on December 13th for formal adoption. The Council supported
the CASE Committee recommendations except for (1) the Heart & Soul Festival in 2023 (2) the increase for
more recognizable talent for Summer’s End and (3) addition of one full time person (Special Event
Production Assistant).
Staff is currently working on finalizing several 2022 projects and developing the winter fireworks event
anticipated to be held over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. Staff will provide additional updates
during the December meeting.
