PZC Minutes 091587RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES OF PLANNING AND SEPTE14BER 15, 1937 ZONING COMMISSION MEETING The regular meeting of the Avon Planning and Zoning Commission was held on September 15, 1987, at 7:30 PM in the Town Council Chambers of the Town of Avon Municipal Complex, 400 Benchmark Road, Avon, Colorado. The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Pat Cuny. Members Present: Buz Reynolds, Tom Landauer, Frank Doll, Charlie Gers0ch Mike Blair, Pat Cuny, Mark Donaldson Members Absent: None Staff Present: Norm Wood, Director of Engineering and Community Development Jim Lamont, Planning Consultant - Ray Wright, Engineering Technician - Maggie Lach, Recording Secretary Lot 3, Block 2, Benchmark at Beaver Creek - Lakeview Condominium.; - Residential Project Sign - Design Review Wright stated that the owner's association for Lakeview Condominiums has applied for design review of a project identification sign. The proposed sign is to be constructed of redwood that will be finished with a clear sealer. The sign will be covered with a "hood" that will be painted brown and will also contain the lighting for the sign. There will be 7" and 4" letters and numbers on the sign and they will be cream colored. The area of the proposed sign is approximately 9 square feet. Lyle Carmony, President of the Lakeview Condominium Association commented on the location of the sign in relation the project. Discussion followed. Reynolds asked what the hood of the sign was made of. Carmony stated it would be 22 gauge coated sheetmetal. Discussion followed. Landauer motioned to approve the sign as submitted applicant work with Staff on the final location for violations, and that the area of sign installation Reynolds seconded. Passed unanimously. Rea inu Doll motioned to approve the minutes as submitted. Donaldson seconded. Passed unanimously. Blair mentioned inside neon lights at PD Quik. He did not feel they were visible from the street. Cuny did not feel that the outside lights needed to be that bright. Lamont relayed Homestake information from the hearings in Vail. Discussion followed. There being no further business to discuss, Donaldson motioned to adjourn the meeting. Reynolds seconded.
