MINUTES OF DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
WORK SESSION
MAY 14, 1979
The work session was opened by Chairman, Hugh Price at 7:55 P.M.
Members present were: Cynthia Jordan, Mike Blair, Hugh Price,
Ken Richards, Tom Landauer, John Wheeler. Alice Knipe was absent.
Also present were Town Council Members, Bill Doyle, Allan Nottingham,
Steve Erickson, and Jim Wells. Town Attorney, John Blish was also
present.
The work session started with discussion and going over the
presentations for Wednesday, May 16, 1979 Agenda.
Gustafson will be presenting the Board with a letter in regards
to the back wall of the Coda Building, and will be bringing a
description of the metal and color to be used on the back wall of the
warehouse.
Patton Realty signs, will be making a formal request to erect
signs in the Town of Avon.
Elizabeth Heymann, the project presentation will be omitted from
the agenda, the Board has not received any material from the developer.
The Reserve, a Heritage project, will hove a preliminary Review
since all the material is not in.
With these matters taken care of the Design Review Board and members
of the Town Council proceeded with the reading and discussion of the
zoning code. The Chairman stated that a week from Tuesday, May 22, 1979,
the Town Council will have a second reading on the zoning code.
There was a lengthly discussion on the "RHDC", Residential High Density
and Cor.mercial, in regards to Average Allowed Density, units/acre, and
"SPA", Specially Planned Area, also in regards to Average Allowed Density
units/acre.
There are some definitions that are to be rewritten,

Page 7 (12) "Hotel and Lodge"
Page 8 (23) "Unit"
A definition is to be written fop "Accommodation Unit"
A few changes were also agreed on:
Section 3.2 Chart of District Intent Alloyed and Special
Review Uses
4 RHDC Under "Average Allowed Density, units/acre
After"commercial", omit, "unit"
add, "or 75 per acre accommodation units"
Section 3.1 Definitions
7 Dwelling Unit:
Change to read: One or more rooms, including
coof,ing facilities, intended or designed for
occupancy by a family or guests independent
of other families or guests."
