PZC Minutes 050779AIN RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES OF DESIGN REVIEW BOARD WORK SESSION MAY 7, 1979 The work session was opened by Chairman, Hugh Price at 8:00 P.M. Members present were: Cynthia Jordan, Alice Knipe, Mike Blair, Hugh Price, Ken Richards, John Wheeler. Tom Landauer was absent. The first item of the work session was a letter from Benchmark At Beaver Creek, concerning the transferals of lots 73,74. The lots are located in the Residential High Density Commercial area, which would allow about 25 condominium units per acre and if it were figured out acreage wise they would be able to put 69 or 70 units on the two lots. It was noted there is no official word on this matter. It was also noted the council will be approached on this matter and then be brought back to the Design Review Board for direction. The Holy Cross letter was discussed. John Wheeler noted that even if they approve the building location, the NEC (National Electric Code)governs over the Board's approval. They still would have to observe their setback. it was also noted that all the lots that have been considered have all made arrangements with the electric company. The third letter refers to signs of Patton Realty. The Board is hesitant of giving them permission of erecting their signs. One reason it wouldn't look good for the Town to see all the Realtor signs up. Ken Richards stated there is not a Sign Code. That the Jesign Review Board is working along with Benchmark since Benchmark has their own sign code. The Board stated that they didnt't want to open the door to put these signs up at will. After a lengthly discussion, the Chairman informed the Recording Secretary to inform the realtur that the Board is not in favor of giving permission of erecting signs in Avon, that a developer sign may be allowed, but not Realtor signs. With no further business the Board proceeded with the reading of the zoning code.
