PZC Minutes 041179no 4D no RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES OF DESIGN REVIEW BOARD WORK SESSION APRIL 11, 1979 Hugh Price, Chairman, opened the work session at 7:30 P.M. Members present were Mike Blair, Hugh Price, Tom Landauer, Ken Richards. Not present were Alice Knipe, Cynthia Jordan, John wheeler. The work session started with discussion of the overhead power lines leading into the Block I, Metcalf area. This area was intended to be industrial and commercial, which is still the intention. The lines are iii over to Buck Creek. The lots were bought with the intention that all the utilities were to be furnished. Holy Cross wants some 3 to $6,000.00 to put in temporary power to start any construction. The electric company would rather lay underground wiring in and the cost would be approximately $90,000.00. Hugh Price stated that it was his impression that the Design Review Board would be getting instructionF from the Town Council to include provisions in the zoning to prevent overhead wiring. After some lengthly discussion, Hugh Prico, Chairman, suggested that the situation be presented to the Tows: Council, that a resolution is being studied and make them aware of the situation. The first reading of the Draft of the Zoning Code was presented by the Chairman, who suggested, $1 that each Design Review Member read the "zoning code" and make their feelings known, and i)2 that all Council Member,; read the "zoning code" and give their input. with these notations, Design Review Board Members preceeded to read the code with these corrections and additions. Section 1.2 Intent and Purposes. Add #7 to read, "To implement the adoption of the Master Plan o,: the Town of Avon". (14) omit "a", change "effective" to "appropriate" change "use" to "uses". (15) Delete. (16) Delete. Section 2.1 Creation of Districts. (5) Add "R" to read, "RMHP", Residential Mobile Home Park. (7) Change "VC" -"Village Core" to "TC" - "Town Center". Section 2.2Z2 nin District Map. a First sentence delete"on the Master Plan and". (b) First sentence put a period after "on the map. Delete the rest after.
