OFFICIAL PROCLAMATION
TOWN OF AVON, COLORADO
A PROCLAMATION HONORING COUNCILOR MEGAN BURCH
FOR HER YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Megan Burch has served on the Avon Town Council since November 18, 2014, and has
provided steadfast and resolute leadership to the Avon Town Council and staff, and
WHEREAS, Megan's years of service have been marked by exemplary dedication to the interests
of the community and service to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Megan has been a strong proponent of the Town's economic development and
workforce housing efforts and a supporter of the Town's special events programs; and
WHEREAS, Megan has served as a strong leader in the development and implementation of the
Town of Avon's annual strategic plan, an effective policy document and a primary tool in implementing
the Comprehensive Plan, other adopted plans and special projects of the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, Megan has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a strong
Town community outreach program and has been a strong proponent of increasing communication and
outreach to the Town's Hispanic population; and
WHEREAS, Megan has long supported the Town's efforts in transit -oriented development and
pedestrian improvements, including the Nottingham Road Sidewalk Project and the Beaver Creek
Boulevard Streetscape Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF AVON,
COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
By virtue of Councilor Megan Burch's community involvement, leadership and dedication we, the Avon
Town Council, proclaim December 11, 2018, as "MEGAN BURCH DAY", in the Town of Avon, Colorado,
and urge all Avon citizens to congratulate and thank Megan Burch for her public service.
