This Record of Decision is made in accordance with the Avon Development Code §7.16.080(c):
DECISION: Approved
Findings:
1. The Application was reviewed pursuant §7.16.120 Alternative Equivalent Compliance, and the
Application is complete with sufficient information to allow PZC to determine that it complies with
the relevant Review Criteria;
2. The alternative building materials achieve the intent of the design standards to the same or better
degree than the subject standards because:
3. Asphalt shingles are high quality, durable materials that compliment lower metal roofing, while
providing architectural detailing at higher reaches of the building, and
4. The proposed cementitious siding does not include asbestos and meets the LRV standards in the
PUD Guide;
5. The Alternative Equivalent Compliance achieves the goals and policies of the Avon
Comprehensive Plan, including but not limited to Goal C.1 and Policy C.1.3; and
6. The Application results in benefits to the community that are equivalent to compliance with the
Supplemental Hotel Design Standards.
