Tract G B2 BMBC muni remodelTown of Avon Final Design Staff Report October 21, 1997 Planning & Zoning Commission meeting Report date December 20, 2019  Project type Remodel  Legal description Tract G, Block 2, Benchmark at Beaver Creek Subdivision - Avon Municipal Complex Building  Zoning Government, Park and Employee Housing (GPEH)  Address 400 Benchmark Road  Introduction The Town of Avon wishes to remodel the Municipal Complex Building’s front entryway, stairs and accessibility ramp, lighting, and landscaping in an effort to meet ADA requirements. The remodeled entryway would feature a more gradual ramp with greater radius turns and a new seating area north of the entryway. Design Review Considerations According to the Commission’s Procedures, Rules & Regulations, Section 6.10, the Commission shall consider the following items in reviewing the design of this project: Conformance with the Zoning Code and other applicable regulations of the Town. The suitability of the improvement, including type and quality of materials of which it is to be constructed and the site upon which it is to be located. The compatibility of the design to minimize site impacts to adjacent properties. The compatibility of the proposed improvements with site topography. The visual appearance of any proposed improvement as viewed from adjacent and neighboring properties and public ways. The objective that no improvement be so similar or dissimilar to others in the vicinity that values, monetary or aesthetic will be impaired. The general conformance of the proposed improvements with the adopted Goals, Policies and Programs for the Town of Avon. Staff Recommendation Approve as submitted. Recommended Motion I move to approve the proposed remodel for the Avon Municipal Complex Building, Tract G, Block 2, Benchmark at Beaver Creek Subdivision as depicted on the application and plan set dated October 8, 1997.
