TC Resolution 18-20 Certifying Delinquent Charges for Collection by the Eagle County TreasurerTOWN OF AVON RESOLUTION 18-20 CERTIFYING DELIQUENT CHARGES FOR COLLECTION BY THE EAGLE COUNTY TREASURER WHEREAS, the Town of Avon (the "Town") may take action pursuant to Avon Municipal Code ("AMC") Section 15.04.040(0 to abate unsafe conditions if not abated by the property owner and recover the costs of any such abatement and may impose an interest rate of eighteen percent (18%) per year on all amounts due to the Town; WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado imposes a Real Property Transfer Tax in the amount of 2% of the consideration on the conveyance of property within the Town of Avon. Under Avon Municipal Code Section 3.12.090, failure to pay the tax when due shall cause a penalty of ten percent (10%) of the amount of tax due and interest at the rate of one percent (1 %) per month to be assessed; and WHEREAS, the Town under C.R.S. §31-20-105 may certify delinquent charges levied to the Eagle County Treasurer for collection in the same manner as taxes are collected; and, WHEREAS, the Avon Town Council hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution will promote the health, safety and general welfare of the Avon community. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Avon, Colorado that the following property is hereby declared to be in default for failure to pay this tax when due and is hereby certified to the County Treasurer for collection: 1. 511 Metcalf Rd, 030, Avon CO 81620.
